FLorida TRADE Grant Program: Your Fast Track to a Job In Manufacturing

Whether you are looking forward to your first job, a veteran ready to return to the civilian workforce, unemployed, or in need of targeted training for your current job—the Advanced Manufacturing Training Program at Florida State College at Jacksonville can put you on the fast track to a job in manufacturing.

In 12 months or less you will gain new skills, be ready for industry certification, and earn college credits toward an Associate in Science degree in Advanced Manufacturing. As a member of the Florida TRADE Consortium, FSCJ provides accelerated technical training programs that will assist in finding employment as:

  •    Tool and Die Technicians
  •     Programmers and CAD/CAM Designers
  •     CNC Machinists
  •     Plant Operators
  •     Master Mechanics
  •     Welders
  •     Fabrication Operators
You’ll get hands-on training by industry experts using the latest equipment designed to meet the needs of local business. Costs are low with financial assistance available for those who qualify. Our partnerships with local manufacturing companies provide opportunities for internships and job placement.

Each applicant must provide the following intake documents:

  •     Copy of Birth Certificate
  •     Copy of Florida Driver's License
  •     Copy of Social Security Card
  •     Copy of Recent Paystub (if currently employed)
  •     Copy of DD-214 (Military Veterans)

FSCJ  also requires each student to register with The  Employ Florida .
